The epic journey of a couple of film junkies and the movies they watch! Each week we watch/review 2 films. When will it all end? It ends when we've seen all the movies. That's right...all of them.

Ep. 7 - IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT and DO THE RIGHT THING
Monday Mar 14, 2011
Monday Mar 14, 2011
Another week, another MASS MOVIECIDE!
This time out we're looking at two very heavy, very heated, very relevant films that not only each changed cinema in their own times, but furthered the national debate on civil rights and where we stand on the issue of racism even today.
...but that doesn't mean that our heroic panel will automatically find them "fun" to watch.
Put your hard hats on, Movieciders. These films are gonna spark debate, alright. While these movies may have the right message at heart, it may be hard to "Do The Right Thing" when entertaining this trio.

WORST of 2010
Friday Mar 04, 2011
Friday Mar 04, 2011
Hello, Movieciders, and welcome to a special bonus episode! With the Oscars fading into the week's history, we felt that we might as well chime in with the movies we felt were the worst of the mainstream last year. (It's also refreshing to talk about movies that were actually made in the last decade every once in a while.)
So strap in, and get ready to hear the WORST OF 2010!

Ep. 5 - THE GRAPES OF WRATH and SULLIVAN'S TRAVELS
Monday Feb 28, 2011
Monday Feb 28, 2011
Monday, Monday, Movieciders! Hope you enjoyed the weekend. Now, let's take a trip down Classic-Movie Lane!
This week we did anything but depress ourselves with these depression era movies. We've got THE GRAPES OF WRATH and SULLIVAN's TRAVELS. Little bit o' drama, little bit o' comedy, lotta bit o' great movie. If you'd like to put the punch of these flicks in perspective, Steven Spielberg mentioned THE GRAPES OF WRATH by name in his presentation of the Best Picture Oscar last night! That should be a small clue as to whether or not this weeks choices have stood the test of time.
So head on over, download the discussion, and treat yourself to these two flicks. On with the Mass Moviecide!

Ep. 4 - SNOW WHITE and TOY STORY
Monday Feb 21, 2011
Monday Feb 21, 2011
Happy Monday, Movieciders, and happy President's day! What better way to celebrate this glorious nation than by putting two of it's childrens favorites on the slab?
Here we have our only two animated features from AFI's "100 Years...100 Movies" list. SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS and TOY STORY. It's time to put them to the test and determine whether they deserve to be on this list or not!
You may also have to pay extra special attention this time 'round, when you hear about our new contest in the show's opener. This is a Mass Moviecide prize you may not want to miss out on!

Sunday Feb 13, 2011
Sunday Feb 13, 2011
Well, it's Valentines day. Love is in the air. ON WITH THE MOVIECIDE!
Put your lips together and whistle while Morgan Freeman narrates. It's appropriate that it's valentines day, because we love these kick-ass movies! Join us as we blow up the Bridge on The River Kwai and escape from The Shawshank Redemption (all in a nice, neat 60 minutes).

Ep. 2 - TOOTSIE and SOME LIKE IT HOT
Sunday Feb 06, 2011
Sunday Feb 06, 2011
We're back from our venture into the creepy, chilly, ghostly, frightening, slasher realm.
Time to liven things up a little, I'd say. That's why this week our movies are TOOTSIE and SOME LIKE IT HOT. These two flicks are considered by AFI to be the funniest films of all time. In fact, they appear in the number one and two spots on AFI's 100 Years...100 Laughs list. It's no wonder they appear here on the main 100 Years...100 Movies list.
Therefore, we must destroy them. Listen in as we put the laughs on the slab, at MASS MOVIECIDE - Episode TWO!
(Just to clarify, this is 3 men discussing men in drag. NOT 3 men discussing men...IN DRAG! Just want to make that clear.)

It's here! It's here! The podcast that is centuries.....well, decades......well.....WEEKS in the making has finally arrived!
Welcome to MASS MOVIECIDE. We are 3 guys who like movies and decided "Hey, I haven't seen very many of them thar those AFI's 100 Movies list. Maybe I should go do somethin' 'bout that thar." And so it began.
In the coming weeks, we will make our way through AFI's 100 Years, 100 Movies. This is not a "Best of All Time" list, though many think of it as such. Consider it more of a "Hey, Catch These Flicks Before Ya' Die" list, and that's how we're approaching it. We'll be reviewing the movies with our feeble, every-man, moviegoer brains, and reporting to you just what we think of each film. 2 movies per week, 100 movies total. That's a long way to go, so we'd better get to it.
THIS WEEK, we begin our quest with two suspense thrillers. It's new school meets old school with M. Night Shyamalan's THE SIXTH SENSE, and Alfred Hitchcock's PSYCHO. Proton packs and showercaps, ladies and gentlemen! This could get messy.
