Another one of those CRAZY weeks, folks!
This week, we take a look at THE LIVES OF OTHERS directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, and starring Ulrich Muhe, and Martina Gedeck. Then, we watch THE SHINING directed by Stanley Kubrick, and starring Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall.

Bonus Episode!
We're taking a time-out to watch the recently released PROMETHEUS! Directed by Ridley Scott, and starring Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender, Prometheus takes us back into the ALIEN universe that Ridley Scott started so many years ago. We've been looking forward to this one, and (love it or hate it) no one can deny that it's got people talking.

"B" is really excited this week. So much so, that all he really does is quote the movies during every available silence. We're watching two classics of science fiction. First, we've got ALIEN, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Sigourney Weaver, Tom Skerritt, Ian Holm, and John Hurt. After that, it's ALIENS directed by James Cameron, and starring Sigourney Weaver, Michael Beihn, Bill Paxton, and Lance Henriksen.
It's also no coincidence that PROMETHEUS opened in the U.S. this weekend. ;-) More on that later...

Well, Movieciders, we usually have such great reasons for pairing movies together, and this week is no different! THIS WEEK our movies are paired together because last week we accidentally announced the wrong movies!

It's geek-out time again (as if we ever stop)! This week, we're watching the LORD OF THE RINGS sequels, THE TWO TOWERS and RETURN OF THE KING. Both are directed by Peter Jackson, and starring Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Sean Astin, Andy Serkis, Viggo Mortenson, and pretty much everyone else under the sun. It's an epic fantasy episode that is sure to kill a few Orcs!

THIS WEEK (which was supposed to come out last week) we take a look at two films about entering a world that the hero has never seen. We're watching the acclaimed PRINCESS MONONOKE with (American cast) Billy Crudup, Claire Daines, Billy Bob Thornton, and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. After that, we travel back to the silent age once more for the groundbreaking METROPOLIS, directed by Fritz Lang and starring Brigitte Helm, Gustav Frohlich, Alfred Abel, and Rudolf Klein-Rogge.
