Prelude To Ep. 91 - A Quick Memo To The Listeners!

Hey there, Movieciders!  Just a quick announcement so that you're not blindsided (again) when we get to this week's episode!  At the end of last week, we announced that we'd be moving on to our month of remakes, however, we have yet to learn how to count.  There IS, in fact, another week in October, and so we will do one more Halloween episode.  We are watching CREEPSHOW (directed by George A. Romero) and TALES FROM THE HOOD (directed by Rusty Cundieff). Both movies are available on Netflix Instant/Streaming, so get 'em, watch 'em, and be ready for another awesome MASS MOVIECIDE!

Mass Moviecide - Ep 90 - SAW and HOSTEL

Alright, Movieciders.  I want to play a game... THIS WEEK, we are watching the two films most responsible for the term "torture-porn". These films are not for the faint of heart! First, we're watching SAW, directed by James Wan, and starring Cary Elwes, Danny Glover, and Tobin Bell.  We're also watching HOSTEL, directed by Eli Roth, and starring Jay Hernandez and Derek Richardson. It's time to get your get out your vomit buckets!  Let's watch some gore, and prepare to commit Mass Moviecide!

Ep. 89 - NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD and DAWN OF THE DEAD and DAY OF THE DEAD

BRAINS! It's zombie time again.  A popular genre with current hits like AMC's THE WALKING DEAD, this week we're going back to the films that started it all! In this week's special extra-long episode, we're watching the original George A. Romero "zombie trinity".  We're watching NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (Judith O'Dea, Duane Jones), DAWN OF THE DEAD (Ken Foree, Scott H. Reiniger), and DAY OF THE DEAD (Lori Cardille, Terry Alexander, Joseph Pilato).  We'll laugh, cry, and eat human flesh as we hop from flick to flick. We're so excited, we even mis-numbered the episode! So get out your machetes, chainsaws, guns, and board up all your doors and windows!  It's time for another terrifying MASS MOVIECIDE!

Ep. 88 - CHILD'S PLAY and HALLOWEEN

The Halloween season continues with our favorite slashers! THIS WEEK, our heroes decided to take a break from the requests to discuss some serious business.  We're gonna discuss each of our favorite slashers.  First up, it's CHILD'S PLAY, directed by Tom Holland and starring Catherine Hicks, Chris Sarandon, and Brad Dourif.  After that, it's the slasher that started it all.  We're watching HALLOWEEN, directed by John Carpenter and starring Jamie Lee Curtis, and Donald Pleasence. Lock your doors.  Arm yourself.  Throw out any dolls in the house.  It's time for another MASS MOVIECIDE!

Ep. 87 - ZODIAC and SE7EN (SEVEN)

This week's suggestion comes from Michael from Illinois! October is here and the Halloween season is upon us, Movieciders!  This year, we've decided to dedicate October to movies of a creepier kind.  We'll be watching horror/scifi/murder mystery/etc films all month, so get those requests in NOW! First up, we're gonna watch two film directed by David Fincher that both reflect a serial killer theme.  First up, it's the true story of an infamous serial killer.  We're watching ZODIAC, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Mark Ruffalo.  After that, we're watching a fictional crime thriller, SE7EN, starring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman. Lock your doors and windows!  It's time for another MASS MOVIECIDE!

Ep. 86 - SLAP SHOT and BULL DURHAM

It's time to lace up your skates and warm up your batting arm, Movieciders!  We're gonna take a look at some sports flicks!  THIS week, we're watching the hockey cult classic, SLAP SHOT.  Directed by George Roy Hill and starring Paul Newman and introducing the semi-fictional "Hanson Bros."  Then, we're switching games to watch BULL DURHAM, directed by Ron Shelton and starring Kevin Costner, Susan Sarandon, and Tim Robbins. We're watching two movies set in the west against the themes of greed, murder, power, and the will to survive!  Sound action packed?  Buckle up!  First, we're watching THERE WILL BE BLOOD.  Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, it stars Daniel Day Lewis and Paul Dano.  Then, we're watching the Coen Bros. NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN.  Directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, it stars Tommy Lee Jones, Javier Bardem, and Josh Brolin. Milkshakes and air-guns all around.  It's time for another MASS MOVIECIDE!
