Tuesday Dec 11, 2012
Tuesday Dec 11, 2012
Finally.
Many apologies for the delay, Movieciders, as our gracious host, Podbean (to whom we pay a costly fee for their services) chose not to warn anybody that they would be doing extensive maintenance on their servers and that we wouldn't be able to follow the schedule that we've busted our asses to follow for two years.
ANYWAY... This week's request comes from Isaac via our email, MassMoviecide@gmail.com!
Doo doo doo doo. Snap. Snap. Doo doo doo doo. Snap. Snap. Doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo. Snap Snap.
If you can read that, you are just as sick as we are. THIS WEEK, we're watching two macabre comedies based on Charles Addams' famous New Yorker cartoon series! We're watching THE ADDAMS FAMILY, directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and starring Raul Julia, Anjelica Huston, Christopher Lloyd, and a young Christina Ricci! Ep. 96 - SCROOGE (or A CHRISTMAS CAROL) and THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL
Sunday Dec 02, 2012
Sunday Dec 02, 2012
Hi-ho, Movieciders! Our request this week comes via our email (MassMoviecide@gmail.com) and MIKE from NJ!
The holiday season is upon us, and here at Mass Moviecide we're gonna roll with the seasonal punches. It's a lucky thing we know how to roll with punches at all, considering the technical difficulties you'll hear us deal with toward the end of the episode!
We kick off our finale month of 2012 with a tried and true Christmas classic. First up, we're watching SCROOGE (a.k.a. A Christmas Carol) directed by Brian Desmond Hurst and starring Alastair Sim. It's possibly the most beloved and heralded version of the story, but it's never too big to be imitated. That's why we're following up with THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL, directed by Brian Henson and starring Michael Caine and The Muppets.
Get yourself a cup of cocoa, and turn out all the lights for fear of ghosts! It's time for another Mass Moviecide!

Ep. 92 - OCEAN'S ELEVEN and OCEAN'S ELEVEN
Monday Nov 05, 2012
Monday Nov 05, 2012
Well, Movieciders, we made it through Hurricane Sandy here in NJ, but not without loss. While Jay and B are both better than fine, and are thankful for the well-wishes sent by listeners, there are people all along the heavily populated East Coast who became homeless overnight as a result of this past week's hurricane. That's why we're putting out the word that if you can, please take a quick wander over to REDCROSS.org and make a donation that'll go to relief efforts for people who really do need it. Sometimes, you've just gotta give back.
As for this week's episode, the show indeed does go on. We're kicking off our month of remakes with some cool and classy criminal hijinks. We're watching OCEAN's ELEVEN (1960) starring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr.. Then, we're fast forwarding to OCEAN's ELEVEN (2001) starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Julia Roberts.
Get your walk-in safe blueprints, and get ready, for another MASS MOVIECIDE!

Sunday Oct 28, 2012
One last Halloween pairing.
THIS WEEK we are watching two more blood-curdling horror flicks! What better to wrap up the Horror-day season than with a couple of cult classic horror anthologies? We've got plant people, killer dolls, various forms of zombies, monsters in boxes, and much much more! First, we're watching CREEPSHOW directed by George A. Romero, and starring Hal Holbrook, Leslie Nielsen, Ted Danson, and many others. Then, we're going a bit more modern and diving a bit deeper in agenda, with TALES FROM THE HOOD directed by Rusty Cundieff, and starring Clarence Williams III, Joe Torry, David Alan Grier, and also lots lots more.
Get ready listeners! It's time for another chilling MASS MOVIECIDE!
