It’s been a BIG week!  We’re trying out Uber.  We’re talking about the 2015 Oscars, and hailing Lady Gaga as Queen of them!  We ponder what’s going to happen to the ALIEN franchise with a new installment on the way!  We mourn the passing of the legendary Leonard Nimoy of STAR TREK fame.  We examine the now infamous “dress”, and talk about the POWER RANGERS fan film, and finally we take a couple of minutes (about 30 of them) to talk WWE.

We’re watching Richard Linklater’s fascinating experiment in filmmaking.  BOYHOOD stars Ellar Coltrane, Patricia Arquette, Ethan Hawke, and Lorelei Linklater.  Since the recording of this episode, BOYHOOD went on to take home the gold for Best Performance by an Actress In a Supporting Role (Patricia Arquette).

THIS WEEK, we’re watching Best Picture Nominee WHIPLASH, directed by Damien Chazelle, and starring Miles Teller, J.K. Simmons, Melissa Benoist, and Paul Reiser. 

If you haven’t seen WHIPLASH yet, get on it!  J.K. Simmons also has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor for this film, and you’re going to want to see why!  OR….you could listen to us and we’ll tell you.  ;-)

THIS WEEK, we continue our foray into the 2015 Oscar Best Picture nominees with AMERICAN SNIPER.  Directed by Clint Eastwood, AMERICAN SNIPER tells the story of the late U.S. Navy Seal Chris Kyle.  Bradley Cooper (also nominated for Best Actor) plays Kyle, and is costarred by Sienna Miller, Luke Grimes, and Kyle Gallner.
